Yak Bone and Horn - The yak is a long-haired peculiar domestic bovine found in Tibet and throughout the snowy Himalayan region of south central Asia. The word yak in Tibetan refers only to the male of the cattle; a female is a nak or dri. However, in English it is used for both sexes. Wild yaks in brown or black, stand about two meters tall at the shoulder. Yaks have been domesticated by Tibetan for centuries.
